KKOOM Logos

The two complementing variations of the KKOOM logo convey a meaning of balance and equity. Through providing access to education for Korean youth, KKOOM’s mission builds opportunity for the future and helps to establish identity in Korea for these students. Both variations, in part due to the nature of the Hangul 꿈 (dream in Korean), are based in symmetry and symbolize the balance that KKOOM works to achieve.

The visual connection to these ideas come from:
— Hanok doors/windows, traditional Korean architecture
— traditional signature stamps/seals, a symbol of identity in Korea.

The connection of the Hangul ㅜ to the outer frame symbolizes the bridge that KKOOM creates, as well as creating connected hemispheres between the Korean consonants in the Hangul syllable block.

Color

KKOOM’s color palette honors traditional Korean temple colors while embracing diversity within that tradition. Its primary roots may originate from within Korea, but there is vibrant outreach beyond boundaries as KKOOM’s mission thrives on cultural exchange.
Specifically inspired by colors used in the Geum Dancheong tradition of Korean temple decoration, which utilizes repetition of interconnected patterns to convey the idea of the infinite. These elements connect into KKOOM’s aim to eliminating boundaries for the Korean youth that they serve.
